Inside this prayer wheel is a scroll of paper on which is written many times the mantra "Om Mani Padme Hum".
Tibetan Buddhists spin the wheel to send the mantra out into the Universe.  It is said that spinning such a wheel
will have much the same meritorious effect as orally reciting the prayers.

This prayer wheel measures approximately 23.5cms in length with the handle being approximately 13cms of that total
length.
